     Elizabeth Cooper was born circa 1772 in Virginia.1,2 Elizabeth married Johann Jacob Mühlschlägel, son of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel and Anna Maria Emmitt, circa 1795.3 Elizabeth and Johann had 11 children, five sons and six daughters. These children are Hannah, Andrew, Samuel, Elias, Julia Ann, Edith Ann, Eva Ann, Arianne, Jacob, Abraham and Mary Ann.4
          Jacob acquired 150 acres from the State of Virginia in 1800 in Timber Ridge, Hampshire County, Virginia. The land was originally granted to Lord Fairfax but it was confiscated at the end of the Revolution.3

          Jacob was enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire County, Virginia as Jacob Milslagle, aged between 26 and 44 years old.           Jacob was enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire Co as Jacob Milsslagle, male aged over 45.           Jacob was enumerated on the 1830 census for Sandy Ridge, Hampshire County, Virginia as Jacob Milslagle, aged between 60 and 70 years old.           Jacob was enumerated on the 1840 census for Sandy Ridge as Jacob Milslagle, male between 70 and 80 years old.           Elizabeth, age 78, was enumerated on the 1850 Federal Census in District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia. Also enumerated in her household were some of her children: Jacob (age 33), Arianne (age 36), Edith (age 36), and Rebecca (age 38).           Elizabeth died sometime after 1850.10
