     Hannah Millslagle was born in 1798 in Virginia.1 She was the daughter of Johann Jacob Mühlschlägel and Elizabeth Cooper.2 The 1800 census records for Virginia have been lost. Other sources for residence information will need to be found. She may have been enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire County, Virginia in the household of her father as a female aged from ten to sixteen years old.3 Follow the link to see the census image. 1810 U.S. Census, Hampshire County, Virginia, page #761 She may have been enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire Co in the household of her father as a female aged from sixteen to twenty-six years old.4 Follow the link to see the census image.4 Jacob Milslagel, 1820 U.S. Census, Hampshire County, Virginia, page 279, line #1 Hannah married James Pennington on 14 May 1825 in Hampshire Co. Hannah was about 27 years old; his age is not known.5 Hannah and James sold their land circa 1839 to Samuel Millslagle. They sold two tracts of land totaling 282 acres ". . .with the exception of one acre, being the same on which the Concord Meeting House stands. . ."2 Hannah and James moved "to the West" but where exactly, I do not know.2 Hannah and James moved back to Hampshire Co sometime before September 1843.2 James died in 1843, leaving Hannah a widow.2 Hannah, age 52, was enumerated in the household of her brother, Elias Millslagle, on the 1850 Federal Census in District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia.6 Follow the link to see the census image. Elias Millslagle household, 1850 U.S. Census, District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia, population schedule, page 661A (331), dwelling #360, family #360 Hannah died in December 1852 in Hampshire Co.2 Her will mentions Eva Ann Millslagle and Elias Millslagle who administered the estate.2 She was about 54 years old. She is the granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
