Lydia Patterson was born circa 1899 in Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Ella Estella Howard.¹ Edward Wayne Millslagle became her stepfather when her mother married him 25 December 1900. Lydia, age 11, was enumerated in the household of her mother, Ella, and stepfather,, Edward Wayne Millslagle, on the 1910 Federal Census at 119 Sangamon in Beardstown, Cass County, Illinois.
