Abraham Millslagle was born on 24 January 1820 in Hampshire County, Virginia.1,2,3,4
He was the son of Johann Jacob Mühlschlägel and Elizabeth Cooper.5
He may have been enumerated on the 1820 census for Hampshire Co in the household of his father as a male aged from newborn to ten years old.6

He may have been enumerated on the 1830 census for Sandy Ridge, Hampshire County, Virginia in the household of his father as a male aged ten to fifteen years old.7

He may have been enumerated on the 1840 census for Sandy Ridge in the household of his father as a male aged twenty to thirty years old.8

Abraham married Louise Eliza Baker, daughter of Cornelius Baker and Phebe Switzer.9,10
Abraham and Louise had at least 7 children. These children are James H., Andrew S., Nancy V., Mary, Margaret J., Sarah E. and Joel Wesley.
According to Garner on 1 March 1850, several of Jacob Seniors heirs went together to sell the land but she did not mention other names.
There appears to have been a problem dividing Jacob's (Senior) estate.11
Abraham, age 30, and Louise, age 26, were enumerated on the 1850 Federal Census in District #24, Hampshire County, Virginia. Also enumerated in this household were their children: James (age 5), Andrew (age 3) and Mary (age 1). NOTE: They are reported to have had a daughter, Nancy born in 1849. There is not a Nancy on this census but there is a Mary that was born in 1849.12
Abraham worked as a farmer. He does not appear to own real estate because that space is blank on the census.12

The following is an excerpt from a letter written by Abraham Millslagle to his cousins out west. This is a portion of the letter transcribed by Wilmer L. Kerns:
"I just got a letter from A.S. Baker that was wrote from California in the mine, and Thomas was with him, and William Martin was in the same _________. He said that he got there the first of September. He said they had not made much, but picked up a lump of gold the other day that made hin[sic] $28.13 "
Abraham, age 40, and Louise, age 34, were enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census for the Pleasant Site Post Office in Speedwell Township, St. Clair County, Missouri. Also enumerated in this household were their children: James (age 15), Andrew (age 12), Mary (age 10), Margaret (age 8), Sarah (age 6), and Joel (age 1). Enumerated with them are Louisa's brother, Cornelius Ashbrook Baker, and another suspected brother, Abraham Baker. Margaret, Sarah, and Joel are all listed as being born in Virginia.14

Abraham, age 52, and Louise, age 46, were enumerated on the 1870 Federal Census in Richfield, Adams County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Andrew (age 22, farm labor), Margaret (aged 18, has attended school in the last year), Sarah (age 16, has attended school in the last year), and Wesley (age 11, attends school). Abraham's sister, Rebecca Milslagle, age 46, also lives with them. His land was valued at $6400 and his personal estate was valued at $1244.15

Abraham, age 60, and Louise, age 57, were enumerated on the 1880 Federal Census in Richfield. Also enumerated in this household was their son, Joel, age 21.16

Abraham died on 26 August 1897 in Plainville, Adams County, Illinois.17
He was 77 years old.
He was buried in Shiloh Cemetery in Plainville.18
He is the grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
