Cathrine Millslagel was born circa 1810 in Virginia.² Cathrine married George Willard on 28 February 1851 in McDonough County, Illinois. He was about 56 and she was about 41.^3,1 Cathrine and George may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, William.
George, age 65, and Cathrine, age 50, were enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census for the Canton Post Office in Buckheart Township, Fulton County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were William (their son, age 7), Jane Millsleger (age 30, her relationship to Cathrine is unknown. It appears she might be a sister-in-law), Levi (age 3) and George (age 1) Millsleger, Jane's children. George works as a laborer. It appears that he does not own real estate because that entry is blank. His personal estate is worth $100.³ Follow the link to see the census image.
