     John Park was born on 4 January 1751 in Frederick County, Virginia. This area became part of Hampshire County when the county was formed.¹ He was the son of John Park (Junior).¹ He served in the military during the Revolutionary War.¹
          John married Anna Maria Mühlschlägel, daughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel and Anna Maria Emmitt, on 28 March 1786 in Hampshire County, Virginia.¹ John and Mary had 8 children but only the names of 7 are known. These children are Jacob, Soloman, Azariah, Catherine, Abraham, Enoch and George. The 1790 census records for Virginia have been lost. Other sources for residence information will need to be found.           John was enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire Co as John Park Jun., aged over 45. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Mary, his wife, aged over 45; George, aged newborn to ten years old; Catherine, Abraham and Enoch, aged sixteen to twenty-five years old. I have not been able to identify these people that were also enumerated with him: one female aged 10 thru 15. There are three additional males (two under 10 and one between 16 and 25) believed to be John Park.² Follow the link to see the census image. Follow the link to see the census image. John and Mary sold land to Enoch Park 1822 in Virginia.¹ They sold additional land in 1827.¹
           Before 1830, John and Mary moved to Pickaway County, Ohio.¹ John died on 8 September 1831 in Pickaway Co.¹ He was 80 years old.
