Daniel Loy was born say 1755.1
He was the son of John Loy and Elizabeth Kumpf.2
Daniel married Christina Millslagel, daughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel and Anna Maria Emmitt, circa 1776. Christina was about 19 years old. Daniel's age is unknown.2
Daniel and Christina had at least 7 children. Only the names of 3 are known. These children are Andrew, John and Jacob.2
In 1782, Daniel and Christina were living in Frederick County, Virginia. They had 5 sons at this time.2
Circa 1790, Daniel and Christina moved to Hampshire County, Virginia.2
The 1790 census records for Virginia have been lost. Other sources for residence information will need to be found.

Daniel was enumerated on the 1810 census for Hampshire Co as Daniel Loy, aged 45 years and older. Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Christina, his wife, aged 45 years and older. I have not been able to identify these people that were also enumerated with him: one male under 10; two males between 10 and 15 years old; and one male between 16 and 25.3
