     Claud Clinton Millslagle was born on 8 March 1895.1 He was the son of Clyde Clinton Millslagle and Hattie Mogle.2 Claud has also been reported as being born on 8 March 1896 in Nebraska.2,3,4,5 Claud Clinton also went by the name of Clint.6 Claud, age 4, was enumerated in the household of his mother on the 1900 Federal Census in Boiling Springs Precinct, Cherry County, Nebraska.7 Jacob Mogle petitioned the court in 1902 for custody of his daughter's children: Allace, Claud and Bertha Millslagle. I believe that this was shortly after his daughter's, Hattie's, death. I do not know the outcome of the petition. It will need additional research.2
          Claud married Ethel (?) circa 1916.8,9 He was about 21 years old and she was about 18. Claud and Ethel had at least 6 children. These children are Edna M, Wayne C., Clyde G., Wilbur G., Jeana and Myrtle L..8
          Claud, age 23, and Ethel, age 22, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Merryman Village, Cherry County, Nebraska. Also enumerated in this household were their children, Edna (age 2 years and 7 months) and Wayne (age 11 months). They rent their dwelling.8 Claud worked as a laborer in 1920.8 Follow the link to see the census image.           Claud, age 33, and Ethel, age 32, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at 4 Shady Rest Auto Camp in Wray, Yuma County, Colorado. Also enumerated in this household were their six children: Edna (age 12), Wayne (age 11), Clyde (age 8), Wilbur (age 4 years and 11 months), Jeana (age 3 years and 3 months), and Myrtle (age 1). Clinton is not a military veteran. They rent their dwelling for $18 monthly.10 Claud worked as a laborer for "improvementation."10 Follow the link to see the census image. Clinton C.           Clint died in December 1962.1 He was about 67 years old. His Social Security Number was 504-03-8444 and was issued in South Dakota.1 According to the SSDI, his last residence was in Kansas.11 He is the 4th great-grandson of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
