Asenath Milslagel was born circa 1844 in Ohio.1,2,3
Asenath was also known as Sena Millslagle.1
She was the daughter of Samuel Milslagel and Julia Ackley.1
Sena, age 6, was enumerated in the household of her father and stepmother, Hannah, on the 1850 Federal Census in Pioneer Township, Cedar County, Iowa. She is not marked for attending school.4

Asenath, age 16, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Lithopolis, Hardin County, Iowa. It appears that she may have attended school this year.5

She is the 2nd great-granddaughter of Johann Andreas Mühlschlägel, original immigrant.
