Follett was born in October 1869 in Iowa.^1,2 She was the daughter of Losesing Follett and Esther (?).³ Fanny, age 7 months, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1870 Federal Census Eldora Post Office in Hardin Township, Hardin County, Iowa.³ Follow the link to see the census image. Fanny, age 10, was enumerated in the household of her mother on the 1880 Federal Census at Galena Street in Dixon, Lee County, Illinois. She is listed as having her "hip out of joint."
