George Dalenberg (M) (21 July 1865 - 3 April 1934) Relationship=Great-grandson of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=17 May 2005 George Dalenberg was born on 21 July 1865 in Illinois.1 He was the son of Pieter Dalenberg and Lijntje Vanderszijde. Goras, age 5, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1870 Federal Census for the Calumet Post Office in Hyde Park, Cook County, Illinois.2 Follow the link to see the census image. George, age 15, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1880 Federal Census in Roseland, Cook County, Illinois.3 George worked as a clerk in a grocery.3 Follow the link to see the census image.
Between 4 October 1888 and 1892, George and Pieter were living in Hyde Park, Cook County, Illinois. They are registered on the Voter Registration Rolls at this address. Follow the links to see the images.4 On 14 October 1890, George was living in Cook County, Illinois.5 George married Anna Te'Vaarwerk on 18 November 1891.6 He was 24 years old; she was 21 years old. George and Anna may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, Lina. George, age 64, and Anna, age 59, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at 134 E. 111th Street in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household was their daughter, Lina (age 34). No one in this family has an occupation listed. George is a U.S. war veteran.7 Follow the link to see the census image. George died on 3 April 1934 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.8 He was about 69 old.
