Trijntje Dalenberg (F) (22 January 1846 - ) Relationship=Great-granddaughter of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=22 May 2005 Trijntje Dalenberg was born on 22 January 1846 in the Netherlands.1 She was the daughter of Klaas Dalenberg and Cornelia Hoogendonk.1 On 28 April 1849, Klaas and his family boarded the ship, Massachusetts of Boston, in Le Havre, France. For an account of their voyage see this web page.1 Trijntje Dalenberg became ill with Asiatic cholera that also killed her sisters. Apparently she lost her hair when she recovered from the disease and it never grew back. She had to wear wigs for the rest of life.1 She remained single.1 Catherine, age 14, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Thornton, Cook County, Illinois.2 Follow the link to see the census image.
