Cornelius Dalenberg (M) (14 June 1851 - 8 August 1925) Relationship=Great-grandson of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=22 May 2005 Cornelius Dalenberg was born on 14 June 1851 in Illinois.1 He was the son of Klaas Dalenberg and Keetje Gouwens.1 Cornelius, age 9, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1860 Federal Census in Thornton, Cook County, Illinois. Cornelius, age 28, was enumerated in the household of Keetje and Klaas Dalenberg (his stepmother and father) on the 1880 Federal Census in Thornton. Cornelius married Maria J. Leenhouts, daughter of Cornelius Leenhouts and Elizabeth Bekkens, on 18 April 1882.1 He was 30 years old; she was 22 years old. Cornelius and Maria had at least 5 children. These children are Claude J., Nelson William, Cora, Elizabeth Mary and William W..1 Maria died on 7 June 1903, leaving Cornelius a widower.1 Cornelius died on 8 August 1925 in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois.5 He was 74 old. He was buried at Homewood Memorial Gardens in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois.1
