Phillip Tanis was born on 23 August 1843.1 Phillip married Catherin De Young, daughter of Pieter De Jong and Trijnte Dalenberg, on 22 July 1870 in Roseland, Cook County, Illinois.1 Phillip and Catherin may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, Cornelius.1
