Cornelius Klaus Madderom (M)

     Cornelius Klaus Madderom was born on 27 November 1854 in Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.¹ He was the son of Nicolaus Klaas Madderom and Trijintje Ton. Cornelius, age 5, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1860 Federal Census for the Blue Island Post Office in Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.¹ Cornelius, age 15, was enumerated in the household of Jane and Nicolaus Klaas Madderom (his stepmother and father) on the 1870 Federal Census for the Calumet Post Office in Hyde Park, Cook County, Illinois.² Follow the link to see the census image.
          Cornelius married Annie Kuijper, daughter of Cornelius Kuijper and Maartje Dalenberg.³ Cornelius and Annie had at least 7 children. These children are Nicholas Jakob, Katherine, Mae M., Effie C., Cornelius C., Jakob A. and Cornelius Charles.⁴
          Annie died on 11 June 1922, leaving Cornelius a widower.³ Cornelius died on 19 June 1940 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.³ He was 85 old. He was buried at Mt. Greenwood Cemetery in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.⁴
