     Charles Dalenberg was born circa 1840 in Prussia.¹ He was the son of Mary (?). Charles married Lizzie (?). Charles Dalenberg must have immigrated sometime before 1875 because his first known child was born circa 1875.
          Charles, age 39, and Lizzie, age 26, were enumerated on the 1880 Federal Census in Township 93, Range 60-62, Bon Homme County, Dakota Territory. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Frank (age 4), Charles (age 2), and "Baby" (age 1 month). Mrs. Mary Dalenberg (age 64, Charles' mother) also lives with them.¹ Charles worked as a farmer. Follow the link to see the census image.
