     Mary (?) was born circa 1816 in Prussia.¹ Her married name was Mary Dalenberg but her husband's name is unknown. Mary may have had numerous children but I only know the name of one child, Charles. I also suspect that Mary is Fred's mother because they live near each other in 1880. I do not yet have proof. Mary must have immigrated to America before 1875 because her first known grandchild was born circa 1875 in the Dakota Territory. Mary, age 64, was enumerated in the household of Lizzie and Charles Dalenberg (her daughter-in-law and son) on the 1880 Federal Census in Township 93, Range 60-62, Bon Homme County, Dakota Territory.¹ Follow the link to see the census image.
