Leendert Van der Sijde
     Leendert Van Der Zijde was born circa 1800 in the Netherlands.3 He was the son of (?) Van Der Zijde.2 Leendert married Lintje Van Steenberg. Leendert and Lintje came to the U.S. sometime before the 1860 census. Leendert Van Der Zijde was later known as Lundert VanderSyde.
          Leendert, age 60, and Lintje, age 60, were enumerated on the 1860 Federal Census for the Blue Island Post Office in Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.3 Leendert worked as a farmer. His real estate is valued at $800 and his personal estate is valued at $150. Follow the link to see the census image. Leendert died on 8 October 1875 probably in Cook County, Illinois.1,2 He was about 75 old.
