Jan Madderom¹ (M)

     Jan Madderom was born in 1843 in the Netherlands.¹ He was the son of Nicolaus Klaas Madderom and Trijintje Ton.² Nicolaus and Catherine, along with their children, John, Cornelia, and Peterje came to America sometime after Peterje was born (circa 1855).² His name has also been given as John.² John, age 16, was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1860 Federal Census for the Blue Island Post Office in Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.² Follow the link to see the census image. Jan died in 1924.¹ He was about 81 years old.
