Harry Dekker (M) (23 December 1874 - 5 May 1957) Relationship=2nd great-grandson of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=11 Jun 2005 Harry Dekker was born on 23 December 1874 in Cook County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Simon Dekker and Antje De Jong. Harry married Annie Kingma.2
Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. With no end in sight for World War I, the United States instituted its third and final draft registration. It included all men who were between the ages of 18 and 21, and 31 to 45 years of age. This added younger men than the previous registrations, those who were born between September 12, 1897 and September 12, 1900; and added an older group of men, born between September 12, 1873 and September 12, 1888. Harry filled out a draft card on 12 September 1918 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was described as medium height with a medium build. He had blue eyes and brown hair.1 Harry was living at 10700 South State Street in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1 Harry worked as a self-employed merchant. His business address is the same as his residence.1 Harry died on 5 May 1957.2 He was 82 old.
