Mark Kuyper (M) (12 February 1882 - ) Relationship=2nd great-grandson of Pieter Cornelisz Dalenberg. Last Edited=18 Jun 2005 Mark Kuyper was born on 12 February 1882 probably in Cook County, Illinois.1 He was the son of Kornelis Kuijper and Wilhelmina Broertjes. Mark married Jennie Benschop.2
Due to a need for men to serve during World War I, the United States instituted a draft. With no end in sight for World War I, the United States instituted its third and final draft registration. It included all men who were between the ages of 18 and 21, and 31 to 45 years of age. This added younger men than the previous registrations, those who were born between September 12, 1897 and September 12, 1900; and added an older group of men, born between September 12, 1873 and September 12, 1888. Mark filled out a draft card on 12 September 1918 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. He was described as having a medium build and height, with blue eyes and light colored hair. He was 36 years old. He was physically disqualified because he was partially missing a finger on his left hand.1 Mark and Jennie were living at 31 E. 110th Place in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1 Mark worked as a machinist for Standard Steel Casting Co. They were located at 66th & Austin Ave in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.1
