Grace Gouwens (F)

     Grace Gouwens was born on 26 January 1898 in Illinois.¹ Grace married John Dalenberg, son of Willem Dalenberg and Rikje Van Oostenbrugge, on 9 June 1921. He was 24 and she was 23. Grace and John had at least 3 children. These children are LaVerne, John W. and Willard.
          John, age 32, and Grace, age 32, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at 15725 State Street in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their children: LaVerne (age 6), John (age 3 and 10 months), and Willard (age 3 months). They own their house which was valued at $8000 and they have a radio.           John died on 30 August 1979, leaving Grace a widow.² Grace died on 3 November 1980.² She was 82 old. She was buried at Homewood Memorial Gardens in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois.³
