     Aaltje Baardwijk was born on 19 September 1862 in Illinois.² Her name has also been given as Alice Bardwyk.³ Aaltje married Arie Dalenberg, son of Klaas Dalenberg and Keetje Gouwens, on 24 April 1882.¹ Alice and Arie had 6 children. These children are Lois, Cornelia, Arnold A., Jennie, Clara and Blanche.⁴
          Arie, age 41, and Alice, age 37, were enumerated on the 1900 Federal Census at Chicago Road in Thornton Township, Cook County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Cornelia (age 16), Jennie (age 10), Clara (age 7), Arnold (age 4), and Blanche (age 1).           Arie, age 50, and Alice, age 47, were enumerated on the 1910 Federal Census in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois. Also enumerated in this household were their children: Cornelia (age 25), Jennie (age 20), Clara (age 17), Arnold (age 14), Blanche (age 10), and Lois (age 8).           Arie, age 59, and Alice, age 57, were enumerated on the 1920 Federal Census in Thornton, Cook County, Illinois.           Arie, age 73, and Alice, age 70, were enumerated on the 1930 Federal Census at State Street in South Holland, Cook County, Illinois.
