Trijintje De Young was born on 29 March 1860 in Illinois.¹ She was the daughter of Jan De Jong and Neeltje Mastenbroek. Trijintje also went by the name of Catharine De Young. Catharine, age 6 months, was enumerated in the household of her parents on the 1860 Federal Census for the Blue Island Post Office in Worth Township, Cook County, Illinois.² Follow the link to see the census image.

Catharine died in 1877.¹ She was about 17 old.
