Hi, Well done. I do appreciate your great photography. I am familiar with several of the Northamptonshire churches in your web album. Particularly Fawsley, a church into which I have wandered 20 plus times. I lived at Daventry for a long time up to 1981. At that time the church was always unlocked when I visited it.I suspect that has all changed? I remember walking into Higham Ferrers Church early one weekday morning to take photographs (about 1976) to come across about 8 or nine finely bound mid 18th century (1755-62) prayer books lying idle on an oak-looking table. I cannot imagine churches leaving their 'goodies' lying around today.

I would like to find out about my family tree, my grandfather was James Smart from Scotland. A port town which I have to look up as I keep forgetting it!

Chris - this is a very nice site, very inspiring ... being a draftsman "CAD operator" my self I am inspired by and marvel at the architect of these types of older buildings ...

wonder if any of my H*D*P*TH's were member's of any of these churches ?

Hi,
A very good site. Just a point. you have Fawsley and Newnham churches under 'Other'. They are in fact in Northamptonshire. You can have some of my collection for posting on your site but I would have to send you a CD-R as it is too much to send over my connection. If you are prepared to let me have your postal address that is.
Eric, Whangaparaoa.

It's actually Cold Higham, not Hingham...
I come from Towcester and my family are responsible for the ironwork on the font in Green's Norton, and also the weather vane.
