Holiday Letter 2005

Happy Holidays to all my family and friends,

This year marked my 20th year at Rockwell Collins. It sure doesn't seem that long. The best thing is that I now earn 5 weeks vacation each year! The company gives employees a gift, so I chose an amethyst ring.

In April, I went to Las Vegas with my friends Ruth, Nancy and Dorcas. We were very excited to see Celine Dion's concert, which was Excellent. After the concert, a group of us got on the elevator and when the doors closed, we recognized an engineer from Rockwell and his family, so everyone in the elevator was from Cedar Rapids, Iowa!

My sister-in-law, Karen, and I organized the second Wygle Family Reunion in August at the "Bullfrog" cabin at Hickory Hills Park. Our next door neighbors were my brother & sister-in-law, Verle and Joann, in their motor home and my niece and nephew and their families. Verle smoked a turkey which was gone in 60 seconds. Everyone had fun riding his paddle boat and visiting the animals in the park.

Larry and Rick both live in Cedar Rapids. Larry is interested in flying model airplanes and is very good at it. Rick has been working at All-Clear for 2 years now and is doing well.

As you know by now, I have a lot of fun playing bridge. This year I hosted bridge on Halloween. I bought a 'Queen of Hearts' costume on eBay and used a wig and crown from previous years. I also had 105 trick or treaters. Halloween is fun in my town.
Have a safe & wonderful holiday! I hope that your year has been a good one, Cheryl
