Obituary in newspaper - Joplin paper probably:
Ira E. Holloman, 76 years old, a Civil War Veteran, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon at his home, No. 2115 Harlem Street.
Holloman had served in the Eleventh Kansas volunteers during the Civil war and had resided in Joplin for the past 26 years. He had been a member of the Christian church since he was 14 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarilda Holloman,five daughters, Mrs. William Dotts of Bluejacket, Ok., Mrs. Elizabeth Stuart, Mrs. LillieGriffin, Mrs. Lavina Ammerman, and Mrs. Susie Thompson of Joplin and one sister, Mrs. Eliza Brooks of Garnett, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 10a.m. Monday morning from theChristian church, Twenty-second and Picher avenues. Former associates will act as pallbearers. The Rev. Flippin will conduct the services and burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
