He was granted permission Mar 18, 1748 by the government of Sponheim,along with Peter Velten, to immigrate to America to Improve his trade as weaver. They arrived on the ship "Two Brothers" sept 15, 1748. Peter Veltenmarried in America in 1751a niece of Christophorus, Maria Catherina Neu who came ot America with her brothers in 1749. No further record has been found forJohann Nicol.
