No, the house isn't on the national historic register. Bill told me that his father lost it when the stock market crashed. I don't remember what he said it cost to build but know that the eye doctor that lived in basically stole it (the price that was paid for it, not literally). I can tell you that you walk in the front door and there is a staircase up with a small bathroom under the staircase. to the left is a living room with a fireplace and to the right is a dining room. There are built ins and a lead glass window. Behind the dining room is a kitchen with a wonderful breakfast room behind it. All windows around the breakfast room. Upstairs is three bed rooms off a square hall and a bathroom. The north back bedroom has a glass sitting room off it (above the breakfast room) Bill told me this was his room. In the south front is a study with built in bookcases and lead glass fronts. There is a attic and a basement. It belongs to some church now. I looked at it to buy but the Dr. didn't really want to sell it. He finally made a deal with this church that they could have it if they allowed him and his wife to live in it until they wanted to move out. His old business building is built there and they use that for a church. I am sure that minister will never leave. It sits right on main street by the court house. All brick. Great House.
