It is possible that he is the Johann Philip Datz listed in St. John'sLutheran Church, Centre Square, Whitpain Twp., Montco., PAbirths and baptisms asthe parents of Johann Heinrich. Johann is German and usually translated inEnglish as John. His wife is listed as Catherine Datz. The links to and withinthis family line are not documented but much speculation based on theMontgomery County Historical Society's listing of St. John's Lutheran Church, Centre Square, Whitpain Twp., Montco., PA.
Johann Philip Datz and Johann Heinrich Datz probably brothers. ButHeinrich was singe at the baptism of Philips son Henry in 1790, so probably ayounger brother. Some of those children listed as Philips could have beenHeinrich's after hemarried and the duplication in names is that of cousins ratherthan as all the same child especially with John and his wife Susanna.
It also appears from this list that Catherine Dotts born 1806 wasprobably a single daughter of Philips or Heinrich when she was confirmed in 1837since she is not listed as a Mrs. like Sarah Dotts when she was confirmed in 1838.The dates of the parents in this case are speculation based on their being 20years of age when their first child was born.
