Caleb Starr emmigrated to Tennesee about 1775 along with Joseph McMinn. He owned and lived on section 9 of FTIS, Range 1, East on the ConasaugaCreek, in McMinn County, Tennessee. On the Reservation Roll 1871.
Caleb married Nannie Harlan, daughter of Ellis Harlan and Catherine Kingfisher, about 1780 in Cne. (Nannie Harlan was born about 1787 in Cherokee Nation, Tennesee, died in 1841 in Cherokee Nation, Tennesee and was buried in Cherokee.)
