THE PARIS NEWS, 28 Nov 1962: 'Mrs. R. L. Lattimore, the former MissJessie Caviness of Paris, died of illness, Sunday at 7 a.m. at home inDallas, 5843 Preston Haven. She had lived in Dallas the past 18 years.After service there Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Sparkman's Ross Avenuechapel, graveside rites in Paris will be held at 2 p.m. in EvergreenCemetery. Fry and Gibbs here has charge of burial arrangements, theRev. John Shuler of First Methodist Church to officiate. Daughter ofthe late Cornelius G. and Elizabeth Caviness, Mrs. Lattimore was bornin Paris, her father being a building contractor. She was the widow ofa former district and county attorney here, who died 22 Oct 1944.Surviving are these children: R. L. Lattimore, Jr., of Edinburg; Mrs.Lorraine McCloud and Mrs. Lou Allison, Dallas; a brother and threesisters; Roy Caviness, Mrs. Mary Faye Middleton and Mrs. LouiseMcCleary, all of Pharr, and Mrs. Merle Palmore, Ravenna.'
