Nathaniel FITZRANDOLPH ³⁴²⁸

The following is taken from: First Settlers of Ye Plantation of Piscataway and Woodbridge, Olde East New Jersey 1664-1714, Part 2, page 245:

In 1667, Nathaniel, who some years before had joined the Quakers, and had in consequence suffered much persecution from the Plymouth government, exchanged his house in Barnstable for land in Woodbridge, and soon after removed therewith his family. In 1693/94, he represented Woodbridge in the Provincial Assembly. On the death of Jas. Bollen, first Secretary of the Province, in 1683, he was one of the guardians of his children; and on the establishment of the Woodbridge Monthly Meeting of Friends in 1706, he became a prominent member of it; and for years the meeting was held at his home. It is believed that nearly all the Fitz-Randolphs in the Woodbridge record, are his descendants.

In 1686, Nathaniel was Assistance Justice; 1674 was High Sheriff of Middlesex County, and a member of the Colonial Assembly; 1693-94 was a member of the Colonial Assembly.

Nathaniel married Mary HOLLOWAY, daughter of Joseph HOLLOWAY and Rose ALLEN, on 11 Mar 1661 in Barnstable, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, USA. (Mary HOLLOWAY was born in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts, USA ^511,888,1955 and died on 12 Jul 1703 in Woodbridge, Middlesex Co., New Jersey, USA ¹⁹⁵⁵.)

Nathaniel next married Jane Curtis, daughter of Thomas CURTIS and Jane, on 12 Apr 1706 in Haddonfield, Camden Co., New Jersey, USA.¹⁹⁵⁵ (Jane Curtis was born on 11 Apr 1661 in Bugbrooke, , Northampton, England ⁸⁸⁸ and died about 1729 in Buckingham, Bucks Co., Pennsylvania, USA ⁸⁸⁸.)
