I am in the process of extracting genealogical information from the St. Michael's parrish of Zeitz, Saxony, Prussia/Germany for the years 1799 to 1874. I do not read German but have worked to understand what I am seeing on the records. I do the best I can intrepreting the names and places but the writing is sometimes quite fancy and difficult. I appreciate any corrections and information and assistance! My own ancestors are the Christian DaMetz and the August Meltzer/Melzer families.
