"The fourth annual reunion of the Houston Volunteers, Company K of the 11th Georgia Regiment of Confederate Volunteers, was held last Friday, July 3d, at the home of Mr. F. M. Walker.

It is a notable fact that the company was mustered into the Confederate service on the 3d day of July, 1861, thirty years ago.

Through the kindness of Mr. W. D. Pierce, this scribe was among the first to greet the host that morning.  Singly and in pairs the other came, until there were nine members of the company, with several lady members of their families, and other invited guests present.

The following Volunteers men were present:

Lt.H.W. Mann, Sgts. W. D. Pierce and J. T. Walker, Corporal T. N. White.

Privates F. M. Walker, T. B. Chancey, J. T. Leverett, G. R. Rooks and L. B. Watson.

Special guests: W. S. King, S. F. Bivins and J. H. Hodges, of Houston; D. J. Baskin, of Florida. The ladies of the families of Mr. J. T. Walker and Mr. D. J. Baskin were also present.
