Mack Colby, 77, of Neah Bay, died Sunday following a short illness. (d July 18, 1964) Funeral services will be at 2 pm Friday at Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Elbert G. Harlow officiating. Burial follows in Ocean View Cemetery. He was born Jan 18, 1888 in Clallam Bay, son of Mr. & Mrs. Auelius Colby. He attended Indian schools in Chemawa, Ore. He lived almost all his life in Clallam County except for service in WW I. He worked for the US Engineers at Rock Island and Neah Bay as custodian. He was also a commercial fisherman. Pallbearers will be Phillip Talbot, Phillip Hanson, Bruce Wilke, Harry Bowechop, Harold Ides and Lawrence Mahone. Survivors include five nieces, Mrs. Irene Soeneke of Hoopa, Calif; Mrs. Esther Elvrum of Neah Bay; Mrs. Bart Murray of Port Angeles; Mrs. Alice Mains of Port Angeles; and Mrs. Peal Cousens of Seattle. Three nephews also survive; Phillip Hanson of Neah Bay; Phillip Talbot of Port Angeles; and Edward Talbot of Sacramento, California.

CONTOOCOOK - Madeline P. (Colby) Fuller, 82, formerly of Main Street, Contoocook, died Nov. 25 1998 at the Maple Lane Nursing Home in Barton, Vt. She was born in Warner and lived in Contoocook until she retired to Edgewater, Fla. She lived in Barton, Vt., for the past two years.

She was the daughter of the late Addison and Elsie (Morton) Colby. She was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Perry, who died in Nov. 1995, and by her husband, Robert Fuller, who died in Dec. 1992.

She was a member of the Countryside Community Church.

She is survived by two sons, George Irving Fuller, of Vermont, and Robert Byron Fuller, of Bridgeport, Conn.; two sisters, Jeannette Smith of Manchester and Brattleboro, Vt., Elaine Emerton of Goffstown; one brother, George Colby of Merriata, Calif.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Countryside Community Church in Contoocook. The Rev. Lafayette Pinckney will officiate.

Burial will follow in Contoocook Village Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Vermont Chapter, c/o Maple Lane Nursing Home, Box 500, Barton, Vt., 05822.

The Holt Funeral Home of 825 Park Ave., Contoocook is in charge of arrangements.

Lt. Col. Malcolm O.Colby was a true American hero. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942. He and his crew, 447th Bomb Group, flew thirty B-17 combat missions over Germany in World War II. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross, five Air Medals and numerous Service Medals.

He retired from the Air Force in 1966.

He was an active member of the Model A Ford Club of America, Inc., and pursued restoration of his Model A Ford with great skill and expertise.

He was a Mason since 1947 and the Scottish Rite since 1967.

He was born in Bangor, ME, and an esteemed graduate of the University of Maine where he was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 17 years, Jean Eller Colby.

He is survived by sons, Richard E. Colby and Frederick M. Colby of Gulf Breeze, FL; daughters, Elizabeth C. Jones of Annandale, VA and Lauren L. Carter of Truth or Consequences, NM; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held at Allen Summerhill Funeral Home, Orange City, FL on Jan. 1 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Interment will be Jan. 2 at 1:00 p.m. at The National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Ave., Pensacola, FL 32504.
