The map below shows the locales of Ferguson households in county Cavan according to Griffith's Valuation. DNA from Ferguson with ancestors from five of those same parishes has been collected an analzed in the Fergus(s)on DNA Project. The results show that there are at least four different haplogroups, i.e. four different genetic families of Ferguson in county Cavan circa 1855.
