I found your posting on the internet. My mothers' maiden name is GORMLEY. Her Great Grandfathers name was Joseph GORMLEY, possible born in Greencastle, PA. Moved to Greencastle, MO, and probably died there. The information we have on this man is very sketchy! He did emigrate from Ireland (possibly Donegal Co.). His birth year is unknown, again possibly between 1930 and 1950. There is no record of death in Greencastle, MO, due to records destroyed by fire. If any of this information is relevant to you or your ancestors, please contact me at [email protected]. Thank you for your time.

Re: Christian GEIGER I have your Maria and Peter (LORA) on my family tree chart. Maria's father Christian was born near Liestal on Nov.2,1792 and was married to Kathatina SCHUMACHER. Christian had 5 brothers and one sister who all travelled from Switzerland to America together. They were: Peter, Magdalena, David, Johannes, Ulrich, and Daniel. Ulrich was my gr-gr-gr-gr-grandfather on my mother's side. Their parents were David GEIGER born November 1755 and Verena Steiner born December 1757 in France(near the Swiss border). Verena's parents were Hans STEINER and Verena HABEGGER. That is all I have for now. Do you want me to let you know when I have more? If you have any other questions, let me know.

I have only been researching my family tree seriously since December, when we purchased our computer. Your page was one of the first that I visited and I was happy to find connections so quickly. I am connected to your family through Samuel Thomas BLAIR and Samantha BATDORFF. Samuel James, Cora May's brother, was my grandfather. My main questions for you are about James Henry Blair and Sarah Smith. What was your source for their marriage date;Sarah's birth, birthplace, parents, etc.? Do you have more information on when they arrived in the US and then migrated to Ohio? I have names and birth dates of their children but nothing more, do you? My biggest problem is getting any further information on Bryce Blair and Margaret CLYDE, do you have any info that might help? I know this is a lot of questions, but I am really stuck. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated. If there is any information you would like on Samuel James Blairs descendants I will gladly share.
