BRINK, KEEFER, KENNEDY, POWERS, PROVOST posted by Chuck Provost on Monday, June 14, 1999

My ancestry is Peter POWERS and Julia Dresser KENNEDY to Julie Ettie POWERS to Alta BRINK to Leon KEEFER to Doris KEEFER to Chuck PROVOST. We now live in Indianapolis but I grew up in Wauseon. Your web page is of great interest to me as is the Henry Co. Genweb site for my dad's ancestors. I am writing to ask if you would share your information with me regarding the POWERS and KENNEDY line of ancestors. I will provide any information that I have which may be of interest to you. I am relatively new to genealogy and my source information is limited. Your lineage of Peter POWERS, born 2-12-1783 in Seneca, NY, does not list his father as Peter POWERS, born in 1762, and his father as Jerahmeel POWERS of the Revolutionary War. Other web sites do include these links. Why do you not list these lineages, also? Is the link only presumed by others? Thank you for your response.

ROBERTS, ROOS, STUTESMAN, TUNISON posted by Minden Shadle on Monday, July 5, 1999

Unfortuantely my family seems to have married into the ROOS family at a much later date. However, the earlies information I have on these ROOS' comes from New York. I have a George W. ROOS b. July 4, 1831 in New York. He came to Fulton Co. in 1836 at the age of 4 or 5, perhaps he was a niece of your Mary Roos. He married Elizabeth TUNISON who was b. Feb. 3, 1836. Their son G. Scott ROOS b. Oct. 18, 1876 and married Ora Bell STUTESMAN (daughter of Charles Henry STUTESMAN and Ann E. ROBERTS.) After Ora Bell STUTESMAN'S mother died, her father remarried to Janet "Nettie" ROOS who was b. Dec. 5, 1863. If this ties into your family, I do have a copy of an old photo of Charles and "Nettie's" family.

I am desperately trying to find the ancestors of my great grandfather Morris D. COLLINS who is buried at Oak Grove Cemetery in Morenci. There is also a Charles H. COLLINS buried there with the same dates as your Charles. Are they related? Thank you in advance.

BASER, BEAUCH, CHESTER, MARCHAMD, MARCHAND, STAUFFER posted by Marceline Emch on Thursday, September 16, 1999

Edward MARCHAMD, married Christina STAUFFER, 1857. He sometimes used the name BEAUCH, does anyone have info on that? His son, David MARCHAMD, always used the name David BEAUCH, does anyone have info on whether David's sister Mary Ann, used the name BEAUCH or MARCHAND? Mary Ann was married to BASER and CHESTER.

BEAUCH, Edward; born Switzerland in 1829 but his family name is MARCHAND, he died in 1860, Allen Co, Ohio. His widow was Christina STAUFFER, married 4 June, 1857. Want to know cause of death and where buried; also why he sometimes used names LIBEAR and BEAUCH.

FRANCE, SHATTUCK posted by Julia A Shattuck on Sunday, February 13, 2000

Hi my name is Julia A SHATTUCK nee FRANCE. I am doing research on my G/Grandfather Oscar Edward FRANCE. We have already established he was born Sept.12,1862 in Bern Twp, Athens Co. Ohio. We are trying to find info about his father John H. FRANCE, and who Oscars mother may have been. I have located a death certificate for Oscar and his mother was not noted but his father was. I have already located one cousin in Va. his grandmother and my grandfather were siblings. I can't help but feel that most of the FRANCE'S in Athens and Washington Co's were related back in the 1800s. And from what I can gather the state of Ohio did not keep records of births until after 1900. Any clues you might have would be greatly appreciated. My email address is [email protected] Who knows we may also turn out to be cousins, thanks, Jules
