He married Phebe SLATER September 16, 1712 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽⁵²⁾ Phebe was born July 28, 1693 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽⁵³⁾ Phebe was the daughter of Edward SLATER and Elizabeth BONHAM.

James DOTY and Phebe SLATER had the following children:

109 i. Mary⁴ DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey May 23, 1713.⁽⁵⁴⁾

110 ii. Elizabeth DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey October 12, 1714.⁽⁵⁵⁾

111 iii. Esther DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey January 4, 1716/7.⁽⁵⁶⁾

112 iv. Edward DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey May 27, 1718.⁽⁵⁷⁾

113 v. James DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey January 19, 1719/0.⁽⁵⁸⁾

114 vi. Benjamin DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey May 17, 1721.⁽⁵⁹⁾

115 vii. Benajah DOTY was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey circa 1723.
