Priscilla³ LANGSTAFF (Martha² MARTIN, John¹) was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey August 18, 1694.⁽¹⁰²⁾ Priscilla died after March 17, 1762 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey at approximately 67 years of age.⁽¹⁰³⁾ She was interred about 1762 at Piscataway Cemetery, in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁰⁴⁾

She married Joseph SUTTON December 25, 1718 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁰⁵⁾ Joseph was born September 11, 1693 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁰⁶⁾ Joseph was the son of Thomas SUTTON and Mary ADAMS. Joseph died March 17, 1762 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey at 68 years of age.⁽¹⁰⁷⁾ He was interred March 1762 at Piscataway Cemetery, in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹⁰⁸⁾

Joseph is listed in William Whitehead's extracts from the Town Records as the child of William and Damaris Sutton. His birth occurred about ten years after the death of Damaris (Bishop) Sutton. William Sutton and his second wife, widow Jane Barnes who he married in January 1682/3, were described in the Quaker Records as an "aged couple" in 1713. They are not likely to be the parents of a child born in 1693 and it is believed by many that Joseph is the son of Thomas and Mary (Adams) Sutton.

The will of Joseph Sutton, of Piscataway, (Lib H, p. 93) dated 23 October 1754 and proved 1 April 1762, names his father, Thomas Sutton; wife Priscilla; children Henry, Jacob, Sarah, and Priscilla; and granddaughters Priscilla and Johanna Foster.

Priscilla LANGSTAFF and Joseph SUTTON had the following children:

+ 104 i. Martha⁴ SUTTON was born September 10, 1719.

105 ii. Sarah SUTTON was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey December 1, 1721.⁽¹⁰⁹⁾

+ 106 iii. Henry SUTTON was born April 6, 1724.

107 iv. Joseph SUTTON was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey February 15, 1727/8.⁽¹¹⁰⁾

108 v. Jacob SUTTON was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey July 3, 1730.⁽¹¹¹⁾ Jacob died January 24, 1790 in Wantage Township, Sussex County, New Jersey at 59 years of age. He was interred January 1790 at Papakating Cemetery, in Wantage Township, Sussex County, New Jersey. He married Ann CAMPBELL September 27, 1756 in Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹¹²⁾ Ann was born circa 1732 in Middlesex County, New Jersey. Ann died November 8, 1811 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey at 79 years of age. She was interred November 1811 at Piscataway Cemetery, in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.

109 vi. Sarah SUTTON was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey February 9, 1732/3.⁽¹¹³⁾

110 vii. Priscilla SUTTON was born in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey April 14, 1735.⁽¹¹⁴⁾ She married Samuel SHARP July 2, 1759 in Piscataway, Middlesex County, New Jersey.⁽¹¹⁵⁾
