Frederick Land Records (A Word file)
Note: I reported the non Compton marriage of Sara Delashmutt because she was the grantee on a deed to a John Compton of Frederick County which was recorded in Loudoun county, Virginia. This was one of two deeds referenced in Comptonology and I visited Loudoun county to see if they existed and have a look at the full deeds. I found them, but I don't think they are of the John Compton of my line because that John had moved to Southwestern Virginia before the execution of these deeds (1784 & 1785). Also, John of my line usually signed with an (x) and in the Loudoun deed wherein he was grantor, he signed with his name. Could he be related to Aquila?
