Crompton ( Crumpton ), Mangrum, born 18 April 1819 in Person County, N.C. to Norris and Susannah Watson Compton, was married to Nancy Tinsley, He died after 1880 in Knox County,Tennessee and is buried at Stoney Point Baptist Church off Thorngrove Pike.
