My wife and I stopped at this dealership and looked at a
Saturn wagon. The car was very clean and looked good. The price listed
on the
car was $5995. We took the car for a
test drive and it rumbled and shook and the brake pedal went down to
the
floor. The car was unsafe. The salesman
said they would
check it out and fix it. The tires and brakes were shot. They put on
four new
tires and installed new brakes.
When we went down to test drive the car again the salesman
said he would have to add the cost of the new tires and brakes to the
price of
the car. I was startled by this but my wife really liked the car. She
has had
two hip
replacements and it was easier for her to get in and out of this car.
Our
Caravan was hard for her to get in (and out) of and caused her pain
when she
entered and exited the van. The Saturn was much lower and was easier
and pain
free for her to access. (We also asked them to make sure they
got a handicapped license plate for the car. They didn't.)
<>So…..I agreed to buy the car at the much elevated
price of $6800+. When they delivered the car it was empty of
gasoline. That’s right -- the low fuel warning light and buzzer came on
while backing out of the driveway after they dropped it off.
Earlier when I asked the
salesman about putting some gas in the car he said apoligetically
“Well, I did wash it
for you.” Finally, after I mentioned it, a week or so later to Kevin he
put some gasoline in
the car for us.
<>When I purchased a car from the used car dealership down the
road (Huron Auto Sales) they automatically filled the car with gasoline
without me
even
asking.
This is an great used car dealer.
<>I wonder where we will go
to buy our next car?
