Enoch Moffat/Moffett 1 Jan 1811 in Frederick County,
VA.
He died in Caldwell, Ohio.
In the Fredrick
County, Virginia Marriage Bonds book it lists a John Moffett (note the
spelling)
the father of
Darcus as the bondsman for her wedding. The marriage entry reads
this way:
31 Dec. 1810
William Westbrook & Darcus Moffett, daughter of John Moffett, the
bondsman.

My G G. grandfather Alfred
Westbrook was born in Fauquier County, VA, 1813 and died
in Licking County, OH, Oct.
20, 1887. He married Sarah Wise
20 March 1837 in Belmont County,
OH. Sarah died
2 Oct 1875 and Alfred married Matilda Armstrong 29 Nov. 1885.
They
(Alfred
and Sarah) are both buried
in Washington County OH. Matilda is buried in Licking County.
Incidentally, Matilda was
my husband's g.grandmother and we didn't know she had married my g.g.
grandfather until I started
this research. Small world, huh?
In my g.grandfather,
Lemuel
J. Westbrook's obit, it lists a sister, Mrs. P.E. Boyd living in the
state
of
Wisconsin. That was in 1906.
(P.E. for Phoebe Elnora. Actually
they lived in St. James, Missouri at that time.)
In my g.grandfather's
brother,
John H. Westbrook's obit, lt lists a sister, Mrs. Nora Boyd, of Peru,
Indiana. That was in
December
of 1941. My great grandmother
Phoebe Elnora Westbrook went by
"Nora" all of her life.
I do have a photo of
Lemuel
J. Westbrook who was a prominent grocer here in Licking County and owned
a lot of property.
