1. Ruth A. RYAN (that's me) was born on 21 Apr 1948 in Champaign, Illinois. She was educated at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore, Maryland, and graduated with B.S. in Music Education, M.M. in Flute Performance in May 1971 from the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland. She was an elementary school band director in Prince Georges County, Maryland back in the 70's. She has since become a computer programmer, after trying a few other occupations such as limousine driving, gardening, and working on a sailboat in the Caribbean.
