(Wife #2) Emily (Hoult) Fair whom he married in 1886. Emily was the sister of first wife, Dorotha. m/o Susie (Fair). George was a boy when his father died, and they moved to Bloomfield. His mother remarried, and he lived with his mother and stepfather, Osborn Tucker, until maturity. George established the first store at Horace called G.W. Fair and Co. He was the Deputy Postmaster and a railroad agent. In 1876 he sold his interest to his partner, farmed for a year, and moved to Cherry Point. He clerked for Tucker & Jenness for 2 years. In 1879 he moved to 80 acre farm in Ross Township and operated a second 80 acre farm. Each year he raised 300 sheep and Poland-China swine, plus 7 head of horses.

A, 38th Indiana Infantry and served 9 months as wagon master, engaging in many battles, and was in Sherman's march to the sea. He suffered a sunstroke in May 1865, which disabled him for 3 months. James dealt in agricultural implements, carriages, wagons, etc.

He formed a partnership with Dr. Carter till 1830. Dr. Fithian practiced in Danville until 1879, when he turned to farming on 2,500 acres, 400 acres in timber. The land was leased to others to farm, with Dr. Fithian acting as superintendent. According to 739, 740 the farmlands were operated by his sons. Fithian, Illinois, was named in his honor by the Indiana, Bloomington & Western Railroad. Dr. Fithian was a friend of Abraham Lincoln. Henry followed his father's religious preference, and he, too, was forced to immigrate from Ireland to Philadelphia in 1793. The voyage took 11 weeks and 4 days as they drifted about because of a drunken ship captain and mate. Passengers got a gill of water each day (1/2 cup) and very little food. After moving back and forth between Ohio and Pennsylvania, Henry settled in Ohio in 1801, dug a mill race (a fast moving stream that drives a mill wheel) on his 200 acres of military land.

In 1840 he took 3 years to fill a contract on building a dam and 3 miles of canal. However, his partner ran away with the money. He traded for 4 years with the Indians. Samuel was a shoemaker.

Husband of two women: (Wife #1) Beulah Ann (Finley) Frazier. m/o 12 children, 4 surviving: Edward Frazier entered the army, became ill, returned home, and died 10 days later at age 19; Angeline (Frazier) Phillips; Mary F. (Frazier) Lapham; Florence (Frazier) Phillips; DeWitt C. Frazier. (Wife #2) Nancy (Finley) Frazier. Nancy was the sister of Samuel's first wife, Beulah Ann. Samuel was only 6 when his father enlisted in the War of 1812. At age 18, Samuel began following the river, flat boating and steam boating. Married to Beulah in 1832, in 1833 he left Indiana, and moved his little family by ox team, a journey of 15 days on the road, to 200 acres in Vermilion County. Danville's population was between 400 to 500 people, but it was a county seat and the courthouse was already built. In 1838 he moved into Danville, the same year his father joined him, and began many business deals, such as the Frazier Block, and a hotel he operated for five years. In 1840, he began 8 years service as the elected sheriff, the third sheriff in Danville's history. Senior member of Frazier, Lamb & Co., merchandise; later withdrew, and then formed Frazier & Gessie, his son-in-law. (Note: No such name appears with his daughters.) Samuel raised Co. C, assigned to the 12th Infantry under Col. John McArthur, served as Captain for 3 months, then disbanded as the company was not needed. Samuel was a personal friend of Abraham Lincoln. Samuel divided 700 acres between his children.

In 1874, he was City Clerk of Danville, serving for either 15 or 18 years, retiring due to heart disease.

Henry's mother died in 1839 when he was 9 years old. He spent 3 years as an apprentice to the "turner's trade" (manufacturing mechanical parts), but did not like it. In 1852, Henry came to America, apparently to the south. Refusing to join the Confederates, he walked 25 miles to the nearest railroad station and took a train to New York City. There, he met an old friend Jake Sholem of Paris, Illinois. After an amazing career history, he became a successful merchant in Kansas, Illinois. He became a naturalized citizen.

Twice, the Indians took the wagons, but George escaped each time on the lead horse of his 5-horse team, a mare that was unusually fast. The family returned to Indiana after the war.

He was a lover of history and continued his fondness of literature the rest of his life. While visiting relatives in Springfield shortly before the Civil War, he met Joe Agey and Ed Randal who hired him to drive a team to Kansas; he disliked Kansas and returned home. He signed for 3 years in Co. K, 71st Indiana Infantry. He was captured by Kirby Smith, but paroled. He was on guard duty at Indianapolis, but extreme exposure led to pneumonia, leaving him handicapped for 4 years. He was discharged 5 days short of a year, rather than the 3 years he had signed for. He operated his father's farm until his marriage at age 43, in 1874. The newlyweds settled on a 60 acre farm in Vermilion County. He added land until his farm consisted of 180 acres.
