A bit about Family History Centers

Just in case you haven't come across these before, Family History Centers (FHC) are associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church). They act as branches to their Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

I use my local FHC to obtain microfilms of various records. You order, pay a small fee (to cover postage etc.), wait, and are able to view the film at the FHC for about 4 weeks.
