She was also involved with the Reading Symphony Orchestra. Helen worked with the literacy council and volunteered as a home health aide. She and her late husband, Joseph C. Crownover, were the authors of "The Crownover Families of Pennsylvania" and "The Crownover Families USA," a family genealogical history that was sold in the U.S. and worldwide. She is survived by three sons, Joseph C. Crownover Jr. and William Morton Crownover, both of Mt. Union, and James Barnhart Crownover, of Duncannon; a daughter, Laura Jean Crownover, of Reading; three grandchildren, Joseph Allen Crownover, Michael Taylor Crownover and Kathryn Veronica Crownover; and two great-grandchildren, Taylor and Garrett Crownover, of Texas. A committal service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. Should friends desire, memorial donations may be made to an organization that benefits one's home community. BARNHART FUNERAL HOME, Greensburg, is assisting the family with arrangements.
