Squire Boone Jr. was born on 5-Oct-1744 at York County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan. Squire married Jane Van Cleave, daughter of Capt. Aaron Van Cleave and Rachel Schenck, on 11-Jul-1765 at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. Squire married Jane Van Cleave, daughter of Capt. Aaron Van Cleave and Rachel Schenck, on 8-Aug-1765 at Mockville, Rowan County, North Carolina. Squire Boone Jr. died on 5-Aug-1815 at Harrison County, Indiana, at age 70.
He was also known as Squire (Unknown) Boone brother of Daniel Boone.

Squire and Daniel Boone explored Florida. and in 1767 Squire Boone went to Kentucky. He helped cut the Wilderness Road and build Boone>borough in 1775. A redoubtable Indian fighter, he was seriously wounded five times. A Baptist minister, he preached the first sermon on the site of Louisville, and August 7. 1776. he performed the first marriage in Kentucky. Boone was twice elected to serve in the Virginia legislature; he signed petitions in /779 and 1780 requesting that the legislature charter Louisville. Encountering problems with Kentucky land titles. Boone moved to Vicksburg, Mississippi. then to New Orleans. where he opened a gun shop. He also lived in Florida and Missouri.
In 1765 Boone married Jane Van Cleave. daughter of Aaron and Rachael (Schenck) Van Cleave. Their children were Jonathan, Moses, Isaiah. Sarah, and Enoch Morgan. In 1806 Boone moved to Boone Township in Indiana. He died there in August 1815 and was buried in a cave near Corydon. Some accounts say that his son moved the body to Boone Cemetery on the Fort Knox Military Reservation.
